At CERI, we are proud that women from around the world serve as staff, board members, and interns, bringing heart and commitment to their daily work. This year members of the CERI team participated in Oakland’s International Working Women’s Day event, honoring the legacy of the women workers and strikers who first inspired the day and choosing to stay visible at a time of relentless attacks on immigrants here and escalating violence globally. Across the world and here in Oakland, women’s resistance transforms oppression into dignity and hope. We honor all the women on Turtle Island and in our homelands whose courage laid the foundation for the movements we are a part of today and reaffirm our shared responsibility to uplift women’s leadership to shape more just, compassionate, and hopeful communities.
