We are deeply saddened and upset by the recent attack in Atlanta in which six Asian women workers were killed and by the anti-Asian violence that is happening in the United States today and that has been happening for far too long. It feels easy to fall into helplessness and despair right now, in a time where day after day we are facing personal and collective traumas and tragedies, that disproportionately hurt people of color. As we stay present in this moment, feeling the whole range of emotions, we are finding the pathways toward hope through our community. At CERI, we look at the strength and resilience of our Southeast Asian communities, across generations from our young people to our elders, who teach us about healing and transformation. We know what we are up against - white supremacy - and that it will take all of us together to change our conditions. Join us in building interdependence. This Saturday, April 3rd, CERI has been invited by Korean Community Center of the East Bay (KCCEB) to present at the Bay Area K-Koalition Virtual Vigil. We hope to see you there.
