Dear CERI supporters and community, We have a wonderful opportunity for you to provide direct support to community members! From today until December 31st, every dollar donated to CERI will go to our COVID-19 Relief Fund. This means that 100% of your donation will go directly into the hands of community members who need it. We know many community members in need at this time. Your donation will help: A couple in their 50s, survivors of the Khmer Rouge genocide, who are in an unstable housing situation and cannot currently afford rent; A young Southeast Asian person in a mental health crisis who needs safe shelter and food during this holiday season; A woman from Afghanistan who just received her asylum status and needs help with groceries until she can find a job; A Burmese family in Oakland who are awaiting public housing and need funds to carry them through the next few months; and Many more community members who need the additional help during this time of year.
We work directly with our community members, providing counseling and resource referral, and we know that times have been tough for many during the pandemic. When needed, and with funds provided, we are able to issue rental assistance, food cards for shopping at culturally-appropriate stores, and utility bill help. Please consider a donation to us before the end of the year and have 100% of your donation directly help and empower someone in our community.
