Rowena Robles

Individual Giving Officer

Rowena has over 15 years of experience in evaluation and fund development for non-profits and higher education. Some highlights from her career include being the evaluator for the National Science Foundation’s EPSCOR programs in various states; securing multiple six and seven figure grants from philanthropic funders as well as leading policy advocacy for ongoing state funding; and working with teams on strategic planning that is aligned with evaluation and fund development metrics and outcomes. Rowena holds a B.A. in Economics and Sociology, an M.A. in Education, and a PhD in Ethnic Studies, all from U.C. Berkeley. She has been a university lecturer for over 25 years in Ethnic Studies and Asian American Studies and is also a published author.  Rowena’s professional and personal commitments are supporting and uplifting communities of color and immigrant communities and are located at the intersections of social, racial, gender, and economic justice.
