Shoshana Moed

Intern

Shoshana has been working in mental health and social services since they were a teenager. Prior to starting at CERI, they were doing case management with survivors of torture from East Africa and Central America at a neighboring organization. Before that, they had spent many years working with neurodiverse and disabled youth followed by working with unhoused and formerly incarcerated adults in the Bay Area and New Orleans. Shoshana loves support groups and currently volunteers facilitating one for LGBTQ+ forcibly displaced immigrants at a partner organization of CERI, Partnerships for Trauma Recovery. Shoshana is currently a graduate student at UC Berkeley pursuing a masters in social welfare and hopes to continue working with forcibly displaced immigrants once they have their masters. In their free time, Shoshana plans free community gatherings and wellness activities for LGBTQ+ adults in the Bay Area.
